Honestly, probably one of the, if not the very best outdoor 4x4 overland workshop in Nairobi for roofracks, custom shelves, 270° awnings, and much more. Very open communication, very professional, great customer service! I requested a custom drawersystem and the timeline they gave was spot on! I also asked for a trunkdoor table, but they said they won't sell me one until they were satisified with their design. It shows they value quality and long term happy customers above making a quick buck. Keep up the great work!

I got a roof rack and awning all made in Kenya at Ultra red outdoors. I went camping with the products on my car and it was simply amazing, the quality is amazing - very heavy duty and well made. The service was incredible, and the products even more so! Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Go to Ultra Red. Ultra Red is a creative small enterprise making camping and off road gear that suits the needs of campers in Kenya. They make key niche products, so although their catalogue is not big yet, they have what others don't. Creative, high quality, super customer service.
I have now bought The Canopy twice and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. You might first think that it's bulky, but it is amazing how much gear they fit into the package. You want a huge canopy, and who doesn't, this is what it requires. The 2nd generation is even more refined than the first. True 270degrees, it just surrounds the car in 10 seconds, no exaggeration. Opening and (more importantly) closing is made super easy due to excellent engineering and design.There is NO comparison to other canopies in the market in Kenya, rain or shine. It's huge and makes camping so easy when out in the bush. No more worries about where to get shade, you can put a dozen chairs and a few tables under it if you want. And shower cabin.
Shower cabin: Super easy to open, very roomy for whatever it is you want to do in there. This is not some tiny cubicle. The guys are also working on refining it with shower mounts and let's see what else they come up with. A must for up-country trips and keeping the kids somewhat clean.
Rear drawers: with a discreet big foldable table hidden inside - very clever, 200% useful and practical, now I don't need to take a table at all, it's already there. Nice and deep drawers, silky smooth opening, with side pockets that are also really useful. Leather handles and a satisfying click when you shut them. Simply awesome, tight engineering, high quality gear, I couldn't be happier.
Ultra Red also has other cool products that are unique and practical; tailgate compartment, a variety of rear shelves, lighting, soft storage options, roof rack mounts. They are constantly designing new things to make camping in Kenya more convenient and to allow us to go further out there. All at a very competitive price point. Looking forward to a gas canister mount guys!
If you visit the workshop, ignore the mess, that is exactly what you want, these guys are engineers. Ultra Red has the potential to go far beyond Kenya!
